About Us

Hamilton Townsend is a firm of Chartered Surveyors specialising in Property Management. We are based in Bournemouth, Dorset, having been formed in 2002 through the acquisition of Hamiltons (established 1974) by Townsends. We are proud to operate within the professional standards and rules of conduct of our professional bodies, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA).

We are an independent firm advising private and commercial clients and we currently manage in excess of 100 blocks of flats, not only in the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation, but also in Worthing, Swindon and Southampton. We also manage a substantial portfolio of commercial and residential investment properties, including industrial estates in South Wales and Basildon and office buildings in London.

Being members of the RICS, our clients benefit from the protection of our professional organisation's Client Money Protection scheme which safeguards service charges and rents held. We also provide annual reconciliations to our professional body and reconcile all client's bank accounts monthly.

We run a specialist property management software package which provides a robust accounting system and allows greater functionality to our clients.

We use a number of tried and trusted local contractors and ensure all our contractors have adequate liability insurance, a Health and Safety statement and are competent to carry out their appointed tasks.

Our team of three property managers are assisted by dedicated accounts staff and a team of administrative assistants.
